Tools
Here we would like to introduce you to some typical, traditional tools, some of which were only invented for violin making
.
The soundpost-setter
The soundpost- setter is a typical tool that is only used in violin making. It is used to reinsert the soundpost or to adjust the soundpost that has already been fitted. The tool is shaped like a curved S. There is a pointed side and on the opposite side there is a kind of two-piece hook.
The soundpost is impaled with the pointed side of the tool and carefully inserted through the F-hole into the violin body. The other side is used to adjust the soundpost.
